Consultation has commenced on Proposed Budget 2017/18 and Strategic Resource Plan 2017-21

Council's Proposed Annual Budget 2017/18 and Strategic Resource Plan 2017-21(PDF, 1MB) is out for consultation.

In accordance with Sections 74, 125, 129 and 223 of the Act, members of the public are invited to make written submissions to the:

Submissions made in accordance with Section 223 of the Act are not confidential and will be incorporated in full (including all personal information, unless indicated otherwise) in the agenda and minutes of the Council Meeting at which they are considered and will be available on Council’s website as part of the relevant agenda and minutes of the meeting.

Written submissions must be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Maribyrnong City Council, PO Box 58 Footscray 3011, and will be received until 5pm on 25 May 2017.

Written submissions may also be hand delivered to Maribyrnong City Council, Corner Hyde and Napier Streets (61 Napier Street), Footscray 3011 or via email to email@maribyrnong.vic.gov.au

Any person making a submission is entitled to state in the submission that he or she wishes to appear in person or to be represented by a person specified in the submission, at a meeting to be held at Council’s Municipal Offices, Corner Hyde and Napier Streets, Footscray on Tuesday 30 May 2017 commencing at 6.30pm.

Copies of the Proposed Budget 2017/18 including the 2017-2021 Strategic Resource Plan, including information prescribed by Regulation 9 of the Local Government (Planning & Reporting) Regulations 2014, and the Draft Council Plan 2017-21 are available for inspection until 5pm on 25 May 2017, at:

Council will also host a live Q&A on the Proposed Budget 2017/2018 via Council’s Facebook page on Wednesday 3 May 2017 at 6.30-8.30pm.

This opportunity enables residents to ask questions about the proposed 2017/2018 Council Budget. CEO Stephen Wall and Council’s Executive Team will be available to provide live responses to questions.

Participants are encouraged to review the proposed Council Budget 2017/18 to prepare questions.
