Footscray Park is situated along the Maribyrnong River on Ballarat Road, Footscray.
Footscray Park is considered to have historic, aesthetic, horticultural and social significance. It was designed by architect Rodney Alsop (who won a competition for its design in 1911). Facilities include playgrounds, large open spaces, BBQs and an outdoor stage. It is a popular spot for wedding photos. The Park also has a designated dog off-lead area.
The Footscray Park Friends of Group have been instrumental in preserving the history of the park and its Edwardian period public garden.
