| The Community Engagement Framework outlines our commitment to actively engage the community in Council decision-making activities, particularly when decisions directly impact on how residents live, work, study, use services and recreation facilities, and do business.
The 2001 framework includes a set of principles, objectives and strategies for engaging the community. There is also a specific set of objectives and strategies related to residents from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.
The framework is a working document that allows changes to be made. Council is interested in receiving feedback from the community regarding the practicality, relevance and value of the framework which was adopted in July 2000.
Council's Community Engagement Framework and Policy is currently under review and will be updated to reflect the changing community demographics, needs and aspirations across the City's suburbs. | |
