We are seeking your WW1 family stories

We are looking for local stories of World War 1. Stories of how the war touched the men, women and children of Maribyrnong.
Perhaps you have your own story to tell, or have researched a local one.

You may have photographs, letters or postcards to share, Bring them along to any library branch to join the centenary commemoration.

Artsbox Resident - Liu Xianghua

Liu Xianghua

Residency: 21 April - 9 June
Material: Ink, rice paper

Dr. Liu Xianghua (Eric) is a visiting artist and academic at Victorian College of the Arts. Dr Liu studied at Central Academic of Fine Art in China and has developed a blend of Chinese traditional calligraphy and contemporary ink art.

Eric will create an installation using ink and paper, run community workshops and paint portraits.

A free community ink activity where you can try ink painting on a long scroll of paper.
