Sunday Opening Hours for Braybrook Library

Beginning on 12 February 2017, our Braybrook library branch will be opening from 2-5pm on Sundays.

Story Island - An Adventure in Pictures

Story Island at Braybrook Library

Story Island draws from the world-renowned Scholastic Dromkeen Children’s Literature Collection held at the State Library of Victoria, and brings together works from some of Australia’s favourite children’s book authors and illustrators to create a visually striking and interactive exhibition. This special exhibition fosters a love of books and reading, and suggests ways for parents and carers to support and develop a child’s literacy from infancy which is so important. The exhibition is a joint initiative of State Library Victoria and Public Libraries Victoria Network.

10 February - 25 March.

Housebound Library Service Volunteer Information Session

The library is interested in expanding the Housebound Library Service through the use of volunteers. The Housebound Library Service is available to eligible residents who are unable to attend the library due to illness, disability or frailty and do not have someone who can do this for them.
Home library visits are scheduled on a regular basis, usually once a month.
The library is now seeking volunteers who have a positive approach, desire and an interest in working with aged, frail and disabled residents. Suitable volunteers will be available on weekdays and willing to make a commitment for a minimum of 12 months.
Interested applicants are required to attend an initial information session. A session will be held in the last quarter of 2016, and session times will be posted here when announced.
