| Council's annual Civic Awards recognise individuals and organisations who donate their time to help others and support the growth of the local community over the past 12 months. Award nominations normally open in October/November each year and close in December.

| Judging Panel and Awards Ceremony | | A judging panel, including the Mayor and community representatives, consider all nominations and determine the winners for each category. Awards are presented at the Civic Awards Ceremony held as part of Council’s Australia Day celebrations on Tuesday 26 January.
