Housebound Library Service Volunteer Information Session

The library is interested in expanding the Housebound Library Service through the use of volunteers. The Housebound Library Service is available to eligible residents who are unable to attend the library due to illness, disability or frailty and do not have someone who can do this for them.
Home library visits are scheduled on a regular basis, usually once a month.
The library is now seeking volunteers who have a positive approach, desire and an interest in working with aged, frail and disabled residents. Suitable volunteers will be available on weekdays and willing to make a commitment for a minimum of 12 months.
Interested applicants are required to attend an initial information session. A session will be held in the last quarter of 2016, and session times will be posted here when announced.
