Street Parties

A Street Party is a fantastic way to meet and get to know your neighbours, as well as have some good old fashioned fun!

Street Parties Are

  • Small in scale (less than 150 people)
  • Local in nature (bringing together people from a specific street/neighbourhood)
  • Non-commercial or not for profit (including fundraising)
  • Held in minor streets which have low traffic flow.

Council Can Assist

Council recognises that Street Parties are a great way to create a vibrant and caring community, and is able to assist residents to organise Street Parties with ease and at low cost.

Allow Time to Plan

You will need time to plan your Street Party. It is recommended to allow eight weeks.

To get your Street Party planning started email Council with your proposed Street Party location, date and time. You will then be sent a Street Party Kit containing all you need to get started.
