Learn all about makerspaces - what they are, how they operate, and how you can get started on your next dream project at Melbourne’s newest makerspace, FAB9.

FAB9 is a place where makers of all skill levels can access the training, tools and prototyping equipment needed to turn ideas into physical realities. Made up of five distinct labs under one roof - a Timber shop, Metal shop, Digi lab, Electronics lab and CNC lab - FAB9 is purpose-built for working with different materials and making processes.

At this informative session, Intro to Makerspace, you’ll also take a tour of FAB9, where you’ll learn about:

  • the variety of tools and equipment available to use
  • the different FAB9 membership types
  • the classes and training you can access at FAB9

Whether you’re a hardware entrepreneur creating the next world-changing product, an amateur tinkerer working on a dream DIY project, or just someone who wants to experiment with different materials and processes, FAB9 is open to you.

This is the first in a 10-part series of Co-Connected events that will be hosted by FAB9. The next event will be ‘Intro to Woodworking’ on Thursday 28 March.
