Business Improvement District (BID) Grant Program - Now Open!
Maribyrnong City Council’s Business Improvement District (BID) grant program supports the growth and development of our activity centres. In 2020, there will be two streams of funding.

Stream One provides grants of up to $50,000 to trader associations and groups of five or more businesses, to deliver destination marketing and group strengthening initiatives. Previous examples of successful projects include the development of a short film, a series of Night Markets in the Saigon Plaza, a pop-up small business showcase and the creation of a directory for local wedding suppliers.

Stream Two is a new funding opportunity, providing 50 x micro-grants of up to $1,500 each for innovative new business development activities. Examples of eligible activities include trying a new product or service, enhancing online sales capability, undertaking market research or up-skilling staff. The micro-grants will be awarded in two rounds, in September 2020 and March 2021.

Closing date for applications
Applications for both Stream One and Stream Two (Round 1) open on 3 July and close on 7 August. Successful projects will be selected by the Enterprise Maribyrnong Special Committee (EMSC) at their next meeting.
