Terms and Conditions
To be eligible for inclusion on our online community directory, your community group or organisation must be a not for profit body that is based within the City of Maribyrnong with all services offered being accessible to those that live, work or visit our City.
Amending the terms and conditions
From time to time it may be necessary to amend these terms and conditions to ensure that they are relevant and provide a set of standards for our online community directory. Every endeavor will be made to provide a minimum of 14 days notice of our intention to amend the terms and conditions prior to them being enforceable.
We recommend that you visit this page for the latest terms and conditions should the need arise.
It is the registering body's responsibility to ensure that:
- information submitted is accurate
- information is kept up to date
- they are located within City of Maribyrnong boundaries
- permission has been obtained from any individuals whose information is to be made available via our online community directory
- you have the necessary incorporation, insurance, permits and licences for the information you are sharing.
Council reserves the right to edit directory entries for brevity and to ensure salient information is captured. We will not publish information that we consider is:
- in direct conflict with Council policy and/or values
- a personal opinion
- factually incorrect
- fraudulent, misleading, ambiguous or deceptive
- sexist, racist, obscene, offensive, bullying and/or discriminatory
- contrary to any law
- politically motivated.
Images uploaded to the site should be configured at 900x600 pixels. Council reserves the right to remove inappropriate images as defined in relation to content, naming, size or other criteria Council deems appropriate.
Council use of information
Council reserves the right to use any of the information published in Council publications and other printed materials, social media and other collateral for promotional purposes.
Username and password protection
It is the responsibility of registering bodies to protect the credentials used to access accounts. While Council does not encourage the sharing of passwords, we understand that there may be a need for more than one person to be able to access accounts to update information. Where this is the case we recommend you limit access to your credentials to an absolute minimum.
If you believe that your credentials to access your account have been compromised contact us immediately.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Council is not liable for any claims, actions, suits, liabilities, costs and expenses incurred by you as a result of any listing contained in the online community directory. While all care is taken to ensure that appropriate information is made available via this resource it is the registering body that accepts all responsibility for page content.
At any time you may request that your information in our online community directory be deleted in its entirety.
