16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence

16 Days blog.jpg

Taking place annually from 25 November to 10 December, the international 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign is a time to come together and take action to end the world’s most persistent violations of human rights – violence against women and girls, and all other forms of gender-based violence.

The 2021 campaign at Maribyrnong was a call to action, and we delivered a number of activities along with participating in the Respect Victoria Respect Women: Call it Out campaign and the regional 16 Days of Allyship campaign, to provide Maribyrnong staff and community members with many opportunities to learn and reflect on their role in preventing gender-based violence and to feel empowered to take action.

Further details about our 2022 celebrations will be made available here, closer to the date.
