16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence

16 Days blog.jpg

Taking place annually from 25 November to 10 December, the international 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign is a time to come together and take action to end the world’s most persistent violations of human rights – violence against women and girls, and all other forms of gender-based violence.

The 2023 campaign at Maribyrnong will see number of activities along with participating in the Respect Victoria’s “Respect Is…” campaign and the regional 16 Days of Allyship campaign, to provide Maribyrnong staff and community members with many opportunities to learn and reflect on their role in preventing gender-based violence and to feel empowered to take action.

Check out our events and ways you can get involved below.

If you or someone you know is experiencing family violence, help is available. You can call the 1800RESPECT (1800 737 732).  If you're in immediate danger, call the Police on 000.
