Children's Week at the Hub

Children's Week is a national celebration that recognises the talents, skills, achievements and rights of children. All Children's Week events are free to families with children aged from birth to 12 years. It's a great opportunity for families to enjoy fun, engaging and educational experiences.

Visit the Hub anytime during the week and join us at one or more of our events! No bookings required, come and join in the fun! All session are held in the library. See more Children's Week activities across the municipality.

Monday 24 October

Preschool Tinker Time

Come along and play, create and explore STEAM through a range of resources and activities that will encourage and challenge your preschooler's natural sense of curiosity. Suitable for 3-5 year olds.

Time: 11-11:30am

LEGO Club

Design and create and make new friends in our regular LEGO session. Suitable for 6-12 year olds. Younger children can participate with parental supervision only.

Time: 4-5pm

Tuesday 25 October

Cycling with Children - information session

This session is for parents and carers of children aged 1-10 years to learn more about cycling with children.

Time: 10:15-11am

Preschool Story Time

Join us for a fun and interaction early literacy session for 3-5 year olds.

Time: 11-11:45am

Burmese Bilingual Story Time

Join us for a fun and interaction early literacy session in Burmese and English. Suitable for families with children aged 0-5 years.

Time: 2-2:45pm

Junior Bots

Our little robots are a fun and interactive way to introduce young children to coding and computational thinking. Suitable for ages 5-8 years.

Time: 4-5pm

Wednesday 26 October

Let's Make Music!

Join Razzberry for a fun and energetic music and dance session! Suitable for 2-6 year olds.

Time: 11-11:30am

Playgroup Fun Day

A range of engaging children's play experiences will be on offer for you to enjoy with your young children. Suitable for children aged under 5 years old.

Time: 10am-1pm

Crafternoon

At this special edition of our regular crafernoon you can learn how to knit! Suitable for ages 6-12 years.

Time: 4-5pm

Thursday 27 October

Baby Rhyme Time

Join us for songs, rhymes and stories and help develop your baby's early literacy skills. Suitable for 0-3 year olds.

Time: 11-11:30am

Multicultural Playgroup

A supportive environment for CALD community to come together and encourage their child’s development and social skills. To book call or text 0427 703 582 or email regionalparetingservice@mackillop.org.au
