Waste services over the holiday period

Please note that from 25 December to 5 January, kerbside bin collections will take place one day later than usual. There will be also be no bin deliveries and repairs on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Hard waste collections will not take place from 25 December to 1 January, and collections from 2 January will be limited. Normal waste collections will resume from 8 January.

Children’s Week

Children's Week is a national celebration that recognises the talents, skills, achievements and rights of children across Australia.

Children's Week 2023 will take place from Saturday 21 October to Sunday 29 October 2023 and Council will host a range of fun and engaging events and activities across the City to celebrate this important week.

The theme for 2023 is "Children have the right to relax, play and to join in a wide range of leisure activities" which is based on Article 31 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
