Amplify: Women's Voices West

To celebrate International Women's Day (IWD), guest-curators Emilie Collyer and Thuy On bring together a group of writers to celebrate and uplift women's writing in Melbourne's West.

Come along to a night of poetry, prose, and music performed by some of the City's finest established writers and thrilling newer voices.

Women’s Voices West is part of Maribyrnong City Council’s Amplify program: a sure fire line-up of live music and literary performances by local artists from the Western suburbs.

This event is part of Maribyrnong City Council’s International Women’s Day celebrations. International Women’s Day is recognised annually around the world on March 8 to acknowledge the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women – while also marking a call to action for accelerating gender equality.
