Active Maribyrnong is passionate about keeping our community active and healthy. Currently, many Australians are finding it challenging to meet their daily recommended physical activity levels (30-minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity per day).

It is more important than ever to keep our bodies moving to ensure we stay physically and mentally healthy. Here are some helpful online resources to help you increase your physical activity levels during COVID-19. 

Find Your 30

Find Your 30 is all about finding practical ways in which anyone can work half an hour of activity into their day.

There are simple solutions, like walking an extra block around your house and getting the whole family active together!

Virtual Y is a one-stop-shop for all your health, fitness and wellbeing needs while you are staying safe at home. This online resource offers FREE online exercise videos, nutrition recipes, wellbeing advice, family activities and a Youth Hub.

Premier's Active April

The Premier's Active April is continuing beyond April to keep all Victorians active while 'stay at home' restrictions remain in place.

The Active April program is an interactive, fun way to stay motivated! There are Get Active Workout Videos and an Active April Mobile Application to track your physical activity levels.

Thrive: Active Living Program Online

Victorian University's Thrive online program provides activities to improve your health and keep you active. Most programs are free and interactive!

You can also access free health and exercise advice by making a 15 minute, online consultation with one of their exercise professionals.

There are a range of categories to cater for all fitness levels and abilities, including strength and fitness, active aging, pregnancy, stretching and mobility and kids.

Special Olympics 'School of Strength'

Special Olympics 'School of Strength' provides a series of online physical activity videos that feature a WWE (pro wrestling) superstar to motivate children with a disability to be active at home.

There are three different levels to enjoy and you can download a fitness tracker to measure your progress.
