Human Rights Arts & Film Festival


The Human Rights Arts & Film Festival (HRAFF) is a not-for-profit arts organisation that explores diverse and inspiring human stories through the mediums of film, art, music and forums.

HRAFF inspires and engages audiences with social justice and human rights issues via an annual festival. The Festival will showcase four screening events in the City of Maribyrnong. See below for more details on each event and link through to book tickets.

Networking Event + The Song Keepers Screening

Footscray Community Arts Centre
Join in for an afternoon tea networking event for emerging filmmakers interested in creating movies that matter. Share with a cup of tea and a chat with fellow filmmakers to share ideas, pitch projects and hopefully form some interesting collaborations.

The screening of The Song Keepers will begin at 6pm.

This screening will feature brand new works by Melbourne-based filmmakers Ez Eldin Deng and Noray Mohammed Neberay. Deng’s films have explored the African diaspora and the complexities of the refugee experience, while Neberay’s work has focused on political activism and refugee rights.
