Discover why so many food-lovers, trailblazers and game changers are being drawn to the west during Eat Drink Westside, a cultural and culinary extravaganza that runs from 19-29 March.
Jointly hosted by five municipalities, this foodie fantasy is a regular fixture of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, and shines a light on the west’s enviable food community. With 17 delicious events on offer, the diversity of the west will be highlighted through a variety of cuisines, including Ethiopian, French, Spanish, Lebanese and more.

City of Brimbank
Sunshine Food Fever
19 and 27 March
A progressive dinner through the laneways of Sunshine that enables you to sample exotic delicacies from places such as Ethiopia, North India and Vietnam combined with multicultural entertainment.
City of Hobsons Bay
Brewers brew beer, right? But some were winemakers before they were brewers and those roots run deep. Get a taste of the ways craft breweries are experimenting with wine-making techniques in this unique event that will expand your knowledge and put your palate to the test.

Small French Bar, Footscray’s home of Gallic hospitality, is teaming up with Yarra Valley’s Medhurst Wines to showcase the best of French food and wine. Medhurst’s chief winemaker will pair each course of regional French fare with one of his wines. Viva la France.

An Edible History: From Gold Rush to Lunch Rush
Old Man Drew has a long history, starting out as a grocery store servicing travelling gold miners in the 1800s. Sample Italian wines in the building’s original bluestone cellar and taste dishes of lamb, barely soup, rib-eye with lemon myrtle and macadamia, gnocchi and pavlova.

Fromage a Trois Cheese Festival
The ultimate cheese - lover’s day out returns to glorious Werribee Park and Mansion. Celebrating artisan cheese producers and knowledgeable cheese mongers. Take a cheese masterclass or watch chef demonstrations where cheese is the hero among other exciting activities, with a sensational music line-up.
This year’s Eat Drink Westside program is presented by Brimbank City Council, Hobsons Bay City Council, Maribyrnong City Council, Moonee Valley City Council and Wyndham City Council, with support of Western Melbourne Tourism.
