Council welcomes the return of Daughters of the West in 2024.

Delivered in partnership with the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation, this dynamic health and wellbeing program aims to uplift and empower women across our municipality.

The free 10-week program offers women aged 18 and over the opportunity to delve into various health topics, engage with local experts, make new friends, and participate in supportive group exercises tailored to their fitness levels.

City of Maribyrnong Mayor, Cr Cuc Lam said Daughters of the West is a fantastic platform for empowerment, education, and connection.

"Our partnership with the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation and local health services allows us to provide invaluable resources and support to women in our community. I encourage them to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity and register for Daughters of the West.” Mayor Lam said.

Participants will be able to explore topics such as nutrition, mental fitness, women's sexual and reproductive health, and more, through interactive discussions and engaging activities, to help gain the knowledge and tools needed to prioritise their wellbeing into the future.

Registrations for the 2024 Daughters of the West program are now open, with sessions scheduled to begin Tuesday 16 July 2024.
