Love Your Local Activation Grant Program – have some fun!

Got an idea you want to take to the streets? The new Love Your Local Activation Grant Program could be the chance to bring your idea to life -  applications close 6 December 2021.

Maribyrnong City Council will fund projects that will boost activity in public spaces and attract new visitors to experience our City with up to $10,000.  Think pop-up performances, busking or skills demonstrations amongst other things, or  temporary public art installations, projections, lighting work and murals, small events/markets or community health and wellbeing activities (e.g. a free outdoor yoga class). 

Your idea needs to align with one of the five strategic objectives of our Council Pan 2021-2025:

  • a safe climate and healthy environment
  • future focussed and
  • liveable neighbourhoods
  • ethical leadership
  • a place for all

 

Along with financial support the City of Maribyrnong will further support successful applicants to: 

  • fast track any permit process and ensure compliance with Councils departments including; Environmental Health, Local Laws, Traffic Management and COVID compliance;
  • waive permit fees where applicable;
  • provide in-kind marketing support inclusive of: advertising on social media platforms and website, photo calls and editorial with media outlets, advertorial in council owned publications and
  • provide Spend Map data to assist design of activity.
