Maribyrnong City Council is actively responding to our community’s diverse and changing needs though the delivery of the Maribyrnong Strategy for Children 2015 - 2018. The strategy outlines the way council plans, resources and supports services for children from birth to 12 years old.
Maribyrnong City Council facilitates high quality and accessible children services by:
* Community development – promoting social cohesion and inclusion
* Planning for community infrastructure – to meet the demand of a growing
* Facilitating partnerships with local service providers
* Advocating for children and families – to ensure the voices, knowledge
and ideas of local children, families and services inform decision making
The Maribyrnong Strategy for Children 2015 – 2018 is not just Maribyrnong’s Councils strategy. Yearly action plans will be developed with the Maribyrnong Early Years Alliance (locally known as the MEYA). This group is made up of a range of community based organisations whose vision is to share the implementation of this Strategy to strengthen collective good will and shared impact.
