Attending an immunisation session
Please bring your Childhood Health Record Book and Medicare details with you. Families with no Medicare are eligible for vaccinations.
You should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the session finishing as there is a 15 minute observation period after immunisations.
Always read the pre-immunisation checklist and inform the nurse of any concerns prior to immunisation.
Children can be immunised from 6 weeks of age. When attending your child's first immunisation session, please complete the pink consent card and bring with you.
No jab, no play/No jab, no pay
Children can only be enrolled in kindergarten and childcare with proof that they are fully immunised for their age, or have commenced an immunisation catch up program. Some tax and childcare benefits may be withheld by the Government if your child is not fully immunised.
Incomplete immunisation history
The immunisation service can assist you with a 'catch up' plan for incomplete, missing or overseas immunisation records.
Drop-in immunisation services
Immunisations can be done at one of our drop-in immunisation sessions.(PDF, 245KB)
These sessions provide all free vaccinations and are available to Medicare card holders.

School entry immunisation status
You will need to provide a school entry certificate when enrolling your child in primary school. A history statement will be sent to you from the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) once all vaccinations are completed at four years of age.
