Our registered nurses are qualified in the area of maternal and child health. They are more than happy to answer any questions you may have, or link you with local support networks.

Please Note: All MCH Centres will be closed on Friday 1st November, 2019.

Open Session - No appointments necessary
Open Session provide 10 minute consultation outside the KAS appointments. The sessions are held on the following days:
Families can attend any centre for these visits. Families will be seen in order of arrival and, during busy sessions, it may not be possible to see everyone. If you require a Key Age and Stages visit or a longer appointment please call our central booking service on 9688 0501.
New Parent Group Information
The MCH Nurse will invite all new parents to attend a New Parents Group: Groups are held in your local area and are facilitated by qualified Maternal and Child Health Nurses. They provide:
- a relaxed, informal and supportive environment to share experiences, gain information and discuss topics relating to parenting
- an opportunity to meet other new parents and develop friendships
This is made up of five day sessions and three evening sessions of Baby Makes 3, where partners attend.

Infant CPR / First Aid
Learn basic lifesaving skills and how to cope with everyday illness and injury at the following 2019 sessions:
Town Hall MCH Centre
Wednesday 19th June and 16th October, 10am - 12pm
Maidstone MCH Centre
Wednesday 13th November, 10am - 12pm
Braybrook Hub (new session)
Tuesday 25th June, 10am-12pm
Starting solid food sessions
For parents with children aged 4 to 7 months
Roberts Street MCH Centre
Selected Tuesdays, 2pm - 3pm
Maidstone MCH Centre
Selected Thursdays, 10am - 11am
