Three-Year-Old Program

What is a three-year-old program?

Three-year-old programs are designed to enhance the developmental, social, emotional and language skills of young children.

They are offered for limited hours per week by diploma qualified educators or in some services a degree qualified kindergarten teacher.

At what age can my child attend?

Your child must be 3 years old to attend.

Has your child been immunised?

Children need to be immunised to attend childcare and/or kindergarten.

You will need a copy of your child's immunisation schedule to enrol.

Immunisation sessions are offered by Council's Maternal and Child Health service.


How much do three-year-old programs cost?

Three-year-old programs are a full fee service with costs charged direct by the individual service.

Three-year-old-programs receive no government subsidies.

Contact your preferred service/s for a  schedule of fees.

From October

Remaining waitlisted families provided with vacancy details. If you do not receive an offer your child will remain on the waitlist.

From November

 Non residents are included in the offers (this may be subject to change).

 You can register at any time except during the first and second round allocations (approximately 2 weeks each).

Once you have accepted an offer, the service will contact you for orientation and enrolment.
