Important notice
Immunisation sessions will be by appointment only, which will be held at the following venues:
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday - (Hyde Street, Footscray) Community Services Building
Thursdays - Braybrook Hub, 107 - 139 Churchill Avenue, Braybrook
Friday - CLOSED
We also ask that only one adult accompany their child/children to the immunisation session. Please do not bring extended family/carers to the session.
As per the Victorian Governments recommendation, all attendees are requested to wear masks during all appointments.

To help protect the health of our community, we provide free vaccinations, user-pay vaccines and school-based immunisation for secondary school students.

Attending an immunisation session
Please bring your Childhood Health Record Book and Medicare details with you. Families with no Medicare are eligible for vaccinations.
There will be a 15 minute observation period after immunisations.
Always read the pre-immunisation checklist and inform the nurse of any concerns prior to immunisation.
Infant Immunisation
Children can be immunised from 6 weeks of age. When attending your child's first immunisation session, please complete the pink consent card and bring with you.
No jab, no play/No jab, no pay
Children can only be enrolled in kindergarten and childcare with proof that they are fully immunised for their age, or have commenced an immunisation catch up program. Some tax and childcare benefits may be withheld by the Government if your child is not fully immunised.
Incomplete immunisation history
The immunisation service can assist you with a 'catch up' plan for incomplete, missing or overseas immunisation records.
Flu Vaccines
For adults and children over 5 years of age who do not qualify for the funded flu vaccine, Maribyrnong City Council is offering the influenza at a cost of $25.00 and is payable by EFTPOS at all immunisation sessions.
Meningococcal B (Bexsero)
Bexsero $130 per dose
Bexsero will be free for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children up to 2 years of age. Depending on the age of your child they will need to have between 2 to 3 doses.
Meningococcal immunisation is strongly recommended for all children under 2 years of age and Bexsero can be given from 6 weeks of age.
Bexsero can be given at the same time as routine immunisations or given separately. For more information please contact us.
