Sustainable Living promotes and encourages community participation in working together towards building a healthier environment for current and future generations. As part of the program, Council hosts regular environmental and sustainability events, programs and workshops to help educate the community about sustainable processes they can implement in their day to day life.

Biodiversity Workshop Series

We have created a six-part Biodiversity Workshop Series that highlight our gorgeous Maribyrnong River as a wonderful environmental resource in our municipality, and outline some of the easy steps everyone can take to protect it.

These videos are a great way to learn more about the biodiversity in the City of Maribyrnong and have been created in collaboration with Wild Action, an environmental activation organisation led by TV Zoologist, Chris Humphrey.
