Sustainable Living
Council's Sustainable Living program is designed to empower our community to live more sustainably, so that we can build a healthier environment for current and future generations.
As part of the program, Council hosts free sustainability events and workshops on many topics - from improving energy efficiency and reducing power bills, to avoiding waste and supporting nature in our day to day lives.

Biodiversity Workshop Series
We have created a six-part Biodiversity Workshop Series that highlight our gorgeous Maribyrnong River as a wonderful environmental resource in our municipality, and outline some of the easy steps everyone can take to protect it.
These videos are a great way to learn more about the biodiversity in the City of Maribyrnong and have been created in collaboration with Wild Action, an environmental activation organisation led by TV Zoologist, Chris Humphrey.
