Seniors in Maribyrnong - Help Shape Council Services
Sometimes people who are socially isolated can become invisible to the community, which can affect their health and wellbeing. We want to encourage active ageing and optimise opportunities for good health and social participation in everyday life.
Maribyrnong is working to strengthen the opportunity for seniors to be involved in reviewing the current service offerings within our City.
To help us reach a wide range of people, we are seeking the help of local Community Leaders to complete a range of surveys across their existing networks.
We are looking for 20 local people, preferably over the age or 55, who have wide connections with other senior residents across the City of Maribyrnong to volunteer on the project during August.
The information gathered will be used to develop a number of innovative ideas to trial during Seniors Week in October 2017. It will also help with important future planning of services, programs and facilities.
