Welcome zone

The City of Maribyrnong officially became a Refugee Welcome Zone when Council made a commitment to welcome refugees into the community, uphold their human rights, demonstrate compassion, and enhance cultural and religious diversity in the community

Neighbourhood Welcome Service

Maribyrnong City Council have partnered with Australia Post on a new community initiative being trialled throughout the City, designed to help make neighbourhoods more welcoming places for people.

By helping people connect with their neighbours, local businesses and essential services, we can help support those that need it the most in the neighbourhood.
