Clothing and Electrical Drop-Off Hubs

Residents can now drop off unwanted clothing, textiles and electrical goods at one of Council's free Drop-Off Hubs.

Council are working with the Southern Cross Recycling Group to provide 18 hubs across 6 sites throughout the municipality.

What can I drop off?

Clothing hubs

Unlike some clothing bins that only accept re-usable items, all textiles (even torn or broken clothing) can be placed in the clothing drop-off hubs. Materials collected are sent for reuse, recycling, or are converted into alternate fuels.

Acceptable items for collection include clothing, toys, handbags, shoes, belts, hats, scarves, and accessories. Please note, items need to be under 50cm high and 60cm wide in order to fit in the tray.

Electrical hubs

The electrical drop off points accept all small electrical items that have a cord, in addition to lap tops, tablets and mobile phones. Large items such as televisions are not accepted. Click here to see a full list of acceptable items.
