Clarke Street Pop Up Park

A pop up park has been installed at Clarke Street in Barkly Village, following positive community feedback supporting the proposal.  The pop up park will be a trial period of up to 24 months.

The Clarke Street Pop Up Park is an open space where residents can gather, in line with current COVID restrictions, supporting the local community to safely re-engage with Barkly Village and support local businesses.

Elements of the pop up park are currently undergoing adjustments.  The bubbler on the drinking fountain is having the pressure adjusted, the solar light sensor is being inspected by the supplier and the tree planting at the large planters are up for replacement with a hardier specimen.

The pop up park construction cost $93,000 including the power supply yet to be installed.

The Clarke Street Improvements to the south of the pop up park are undergoing additional design work.  We'll update you on this and opportunities to comment in the New Year.
