Footscray Art Prize

The Footscray Art Prize gives artists from across the country an exciting opportunity to promote their art practice in a professional platform and bring their art to life in the vibrant arts community of central Footscray in Melbourne’s inner west, as well as a share in $17,500 worth of prizes.


It contributes to Footscray's reputation as a thriving cultural hub that supports and fosters the arts, and provides an opportunity to celebrate this artistic vibrancy and creativity. The Footscray Art Prize is a biennial non-acquisitive visual art prize for contemporary artworks across multiple platforms and disciplines.

Entries have now closed for 2017.


An exhibition of shortlisted works for the Main Prize will be held at Footscray Community Arts Centre from 26 May to 24 June.
