The Footscray Art Prize gives artists from across the country an exciting opportunity to promote their art practice in a professional platform and bring their art to life in the vibrant arts community of central Footscray in Melbourne’s inner west, as well as a share in $17,500 worth of prizes. It contributes to Footscray's reputation as a thriving cultural hub that supports and fosters the arts, and provides an opportunity to celebrate this artistic vibrancy and creativity. The Footscray Art Prize is a biennial non-acquisitive visual art prize for contemporary artworks across multiple platforms and disciplines.
 
Entries have now opened for 2019.

Entries close on 15 March 2019 and are open to all Australian residents, with no restrictions on visual art media. Winners will be announced in June, with a shortlist available in late April. To enter or find out more information please visit www.footscrayartprize.com
