New Year's Eve 2023 - Event Information

Celebrate New Year’s Eve with family and friends at the annual fireworks spectacular held by the City of Maribyrnong at Footscray Park - on the Eastern Lawn! 

Watch the sun go down and the fireworks light up (nice and early at 9.30pm) making this event ideal for families who want to avoid a late night and huge city crowds.

So get the family together and pack a picnic or enjoy a snack from one of the food trucks on site. Bring a refillable bottle to make use of the drinkable water provided on site, (this is a single use plastic free event) and the community is urged to bring re-useable containers to reduce the impact on the environment. 

Please note: This is an alcohol free event and we encourage arrival via public transport. Free shuttle busses will be operating between Footscray Train station and Footscray Park (Eastern Lawns). Accessible parking is available on site via Maribyrnong Blvd (Please call Maribyrnong City Council for more information)
