The Human Rights Arts & Film Festival (HRAFF) returns to Melbourne from 28 April - 7 May to explore diverse and inspiring human stories through the mediums of film, art, music, forums and conversation.
Supported by Maribyrnong City Council's Festival City program, HRAFF Westside 2022 brings four signature events to our City:
- The Melbourne premier of feature documentary and 2021 Sundance Audience Award Winner Writing with Fire, at the Sun Theatre Yarraville on Friday 29 April. Screening includes post-film panel discussion.
- The first Tunisian film to be nominated for an Oscar, The Man Who Sold His Skin, with a pre-film performance by Western Edge, on Tuesday 3 May at the Sun Theatre in Yarraville.
- Feminist Shorts featuring DJ and Projections by Jeevi Ka, on Friday 6 May at Kindred Studios
- The multifaceted event A Bell Rings Across the Valley on Saturday 7 May at Footscray Community Arts. This event is free for City of Maribyrnong residents.
