In this workshop, Playable Streets artist Glen Walton and Steph Hughes will guide participants to develop their ultimate instrument. Children will play through a series of creative exercises that explore these new musical creations. All Kidstruments will be digitised and available to play at

Workshops involve music making, drawing design and technology. All materials provided. Suitable for Primary School aged children.

Bookings can be made below.

The school holiday workshops lead in to the Kidstruments LIVE! concert which is a collaboration between Council, Melbourne Fringe Festival, Melbourne Jazz Festival and Playable Streets, taking place on Sunday 16 October at the Footscray Library Forecourt.

The free concert will see Jazz ensemble I Hold the Lion’s Paw, performing with three real-life versions of Kidstruments selected from the online gallery.

This is a family music event where the instruments are weird and the music is great!  Find out more about Kidstruments Live!
