Reopening details

Maribyrnong Libraries have reopened, and Footscray Library has returned to extended opening hours!

When you visit the library, you'll need to:

  • Check-in using the Service Victoria app
  • Wear a face mask (ages 8 and over)
  • We also need to see your proof of COVID-19 vaccination for visitors aged 18 years and over (or eligible proof of exemption)
  • Visitors under 18 years do not need to show proof of vaccination

Our opening hours are:

   Monday to Friday  Saturday   Sunday   
 Footscray   10am-8pm  10am-5pm   2-5pm 
 Braybrook  10am-6pm  10am-2pm   Closed
 Maribyrnong  10am-6pm  10am-2pm 
 Closed
 West Footscray    10am-6pm  10am-2pm 
 Closed
 Yarraville  10am-6pm  10am-2pm
 Closed

If you are unable to enter the library for any reason, you can still access our collections via Click & Collect. Reserve your items through the library app or catalogue

If you need assistance accessing your COVID-19 Digital Certificate, please come to the library and we'll help guide you through the steps.

eLibrary, Programs and Meeting Rooms

Our eLibrary also remains open 24/7, where you can borrow eBooks, eAudiobooks, films, magazines, newspapers and more!

We'll have some special in-person programs at the library in December. However many of our programs will continue online for now, and will return to the library in the new year. Check the Events page for the latest information.

Community Rooms are currently unavailable for hire until further notice.
