Researching Local History with TROVE

The National Library of Australian maintains a huge collection of Australian History which is accessible via their website, Trove. Containing newspapers, photos, maps, government gazettes and more, it is one of the most popular resources for local historians.

Historical Maps of Victoria Online

The Public Records Office of Victoria has introduced Map Warper. A website that allows users to look up historical maps of Victoria based off modern day names. These maps can date back as far as 1800.
