It's Spring School Holidays and Maribyrnong Libraries invites you to take part in a smorgasbord of events for the whole family.

DIY library bags

Come along and create your very own library bag! Use our templates, or create your own unique design using fabric markers, puff paints, felt pieces and other materials. All materials supplied.

Bush babies

Animals on the Move is privileged to bring you up close and personal with a diverse range of marsupials, birds and reptiles. Interact with a variety of native animals including a couple of types of parrots, possum, python, couple of types of lizards, turtle, frogs and bugs in lucite.

Suitable for ages 4+ with adult supervision.

Space adventures

A hilarious show all about outer space,with lots of dress-ups, music and dancing, funny jokes and participation for all the children. Includes a visit to the Milky Way to sing the stars’ favourite song, a rocket trip, a story about a cow jumping over the Moon, some cheeky Martians, and songs and dancing! We learn about the planets of our Solar System as well. It’s a blast!

Australian Native Plants Collage

Get ready to explore the wonderful world of Australian native plants with illustrator Rachel Gyan. Join in for a hands-on workshop where we'll paint and collage our way through this mindful art practice, connecting with the natural world around us and discovering endless possibilities for fun and exciting at-home creations.

Stop motion animation

Design your own characters and storyline, and then create a short video using the Stop Motion Studio app. Then show off your creation in a mini film festival on the big screen.
