We are happy to announce that Braybrook and Footscray Libraries have reopened, after the five day lockdown.

Braybrook and Footscray Libraries

Braybrook Library is open 10am-2pm Monday to Saturday, and Footscray Library will open 10am-5pm Monday to Saturday.

Maribyrnong, West Footscray and Yarraville Libraries

Maribyrnong Libraries are working on a staged reopening plan to ensure a COVID-safe environment for members and staff. West Footscray and Yarraville Libraries remain closed until further notice. You’ll be able to collect your reservations from Braybrook and Footscray Libraries.

Maribyrnong will be the next branch to open, and we’ll have more news to share on that soon.

Attending Libraries

When you visit the library, you’ll need to register your details for potential contact tracing, wear a face mask, and use hand sanitiser used on entry and exit. If you are unwell, please stay home.

Free PCs and Wi-Fi will be available. 9 PCs are available at each library for 55 minute sessions, on a walk up basis.

Printing, photocopying, and scanning is available for self-service.

In 2021 we will have a mix of online and in-person programs. Stay tuned for more news on in-person programs.

If you are housebound and unable to come to the library, you might be eligible for the Home Library Service. We are also seeking expressions of interest from prospective volunteers to contribute to the program. Learn more about volunteering for the Home Library Service.
