Following the easing of the State Government's restrictions in response to COVID-19, Maribyrnong Libraries are reopening from 11 June 2021.  Visit our Branches page for opening hours of each of our libraries.

Braybrook Community Hub is subject to ongoing restrictions in response to COVID-19.  Braybrook Library is currently operating on restricted hours, to allow for essential services at the Hub to continue.  Braybrook Library is currently open 2-5pm Monday to Friday, and 10am-2pm Saturday.  We'll continue to provide updates via our website on opening hours.

Click and Collect services will no longer be available upon libraries reopening and in-person programs and events are currently on hold, however we have a wide range of programs running online, including Story Times, book groups and more. Further announcements about the return to in-person programs will be shared on our website.

From Monday 12 July, we are thrilled to announce that all library branches will open with extended hours. The new opening hours will be:

  • Footscray: 10am-8pm Monday to Friday, 10am-5pm Saturday, and 2-5pm Sunday
  • All other branches: 10am-6pm Monday to Friday, and 10am-2pm Saturday

We look forward to seeing you back in the library again soon.
