Writers’ Workshop At Home

Published on 08 July 2020

Are you an emerging author, in need of some inspiration or pointers on next steps? Career journalist and debut crime fiction author Karina Kilmore will run a Writers’ Workshop At Home via Zoom.

Everyone is welcome to join from home, for an evening of talking about writing, researching, fiction versus fact and the lifelong writing journey. Discussions will include: how to start writing, inspiration, choosing your setting and characters, plus plenty of time for Q&As.

Karina Kilmore is a writer and newspaper journalist with more than 30 years’ experience. Under the byline Karina Barrymore, she covered almost every major business scandal and financial event since the 1987 global share market crash and has written for US, UK, Australian and New Zealand publications. Karina is also a book reviewer and was previously Books Editor for the Herald Sun. Her first novel, Where the Truth Lies, was shortlisted for the prestigious Unpublished Manuscript Award at the Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards in 2017, and published in March 2020, by Simon and Schuster.
