Sleepless returns more dazzling than ever before, May 2-18.

The heart of Footscray will become a playground of creativity that pays tribute to the rich tapestry of Footscray's vibrant creative community.

Explore eclectic performances in re-purposed venues, disused shop fronts and forgotten hubs as Footscray's CBD becomes the canvas for an array of cultural activity. 

From indie gigs to interactive art installations, discover exhibits that challenge and inspire. Celebrate the creativity and culture of the west with this dynamic and immersive festival

Expect to encounter the weird, the wild, and most beautiful manifestations of Melbourne's thriving arts scene, set against the equally enchanting urban backdrop of Footscray.

Highlight events

Highlight events include:

• Footscray Celebrates Africa will be a free vibrant cultural street party including a high energy line up of DJs and live music hosted by PBS broadcaster Stani Goma.
  Saturday May 17, 12 - 5pm - Nicholson St Mall, Footscray

• Then, Fractal Doona will present the official closing party with a ticketed after party in the Metro West Shopping Centre. Enjoy three stages of performance and experimentation for one special night.
  Saturday May 17, 7pm - 1am – Metro West Shopping Centre, 47 Paisley St, Footscray
