How to play

Read or listen to a book of your choice from any of the nine book categories:

  • Set in Victoria: books set in Victoria
  • Recent releases: books published in the last 12 months
  • Other lives: biography about someone who inspires you
  • In translation: books that have been translated
  • Fact to fiction: works of fiction based on true stories
  • Book to screen: books that have been made into movies or TV series
  • Beastly titles: books with an animal in the title
  • Other worlds: books set in a world different to your own
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander writers: books by Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander writers

When the library branches re-open, you can pick up a game card (download a digital copy here). Once you’ve completed a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line on the game card, you can fill out the entry slips attached to the game card.

Even though the library branches are closed, you can still borrow a wide variety of eBooks and eAudiobooks on BorrowBox and Libby by Overdrive.

When the library branches re-open, you can pick up a game card. Once you’ve completed a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line on the game card, you can fill out the entry slips attached to the game card.

To be in the draw, drop your entry into your local library once the branches reopen. The competition will be open till 31 May 2020.

Prizes

A Readings book voucher is up for grabs at Maribyrnong Library Service for one lucky reader for each month of the competition.
