Library Opening Hours Over the Festive Season

Maribyrnong Libraries will operating on reduced opening hours over the festive season. Please see the schedule below for holiday operating hours at your local branch.

Festive Season Opening Hours

Over the festive season, Footscray Library will open with limited hours. Braybrook, Maribyrnong, West Footscray and Yarraville library branches will all close at 2pm on Saturday 23 December and reopen at 10am on Tuesday 2 January.

• Saturday 23 December: all libraries open for usual hours
• Sunday 24 to Tuesday 26 December: all libraries closed
• Wednesday 27 to Saturday 30 December: Footscray Library open 10am-5pm
• Sunday 31 December to Monday 1 January: all libraries closed
• Tuesday 2 January: all libraries resume usual opening hours

On Tuesday 12 December, all Maribyrnong Libraries branches will be closed for a staff development day.

Council’s Customer Service team will still be available at Footscray Library between 10am and 5pm on Tuesday 12 December for Council enquiries and payments only.

Our eLibrary remains open 24/7. Return chutes will be open and all loans extended until Wednesday 13 December.
