We are excited to share that Maribyrnong, West Footscray, and Yarraville Libraries will all be open from the week of Monday 15 March. This means that all five of our libraries will be open from this date.

The opening hours will be:

  • Footscray: 10am-5pm Monday to Saturday
  • Braybrook: 10am-2pm Monday to Saturday
  • Maribyrnong: 1-5pm Monday to Friday, and 10am-2pm Saturday
  • West Footscray: 10am-1pm Tuesday, 2-5pm Wednesday, 10am-1pm Thursday, and 10am-2pm Saturday
  • Yarraville: 2-5pm Tuesday, 10am-1pm Wednesday, 2-5pm Thursday, and 10am-2pm Saturday

From July, all branches will open with extended hours.

We know our libraries are much-loved by our community, and we appreciate your patience as we worked through the State Government requirements around physical distancing to reopen our smaller libraries.

Many of our programs have also relaunched in-person at Footscray and Braybrook Libraries, including Baby Rhyme Time, Story Time, book groups, and more. We’ll have an announcement about the return of in-person programs at our smaller libraries soon.
