June is international Pride Month, a time to celebrate the history of LGBTQIA+ Pride and look towards the future.

Pride Month commemorates the Stonewall Riots of 1969, a pivotal moment and movement in LGBTQIA+ rights – one led largely by trans women of colour.

Drag Trivia Night

Following popular demand, Maribyrnong Libraries presents Drag Trivia! Join drag queen Valerie Hex (Val) for a night of fun pop culture, book and film trivia.


Movie Club

This month's Movie Club screenings are Pride themed! Join us at Footscray and West Footscray libraries for these special film screenings.


Queer Book Group

Queer Book Group is a monthly program at West Footscray Library. Facilitated by a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, book group members can discuss whichever books they've been reading with a book list available to provide inspiration when selecting your next read.
