From 1 June to 31 August, Maribyrnong Libraries is proud to take part in the Warm Winter Reada statewide invitation to slow down, reconnect with books and build a daily habit throughout the colder months.

To help you stay inspired, we’re running a calendar of free events focused on stories and storytelling across all our branches. Highlights include the Poetry Slam Workshop and Heat, perfect for anyone ready to perform or cheer from the crowd, and our Winter Write Off,a relaxed writing challenge to get your words flowing. With author talks, book groups, quiet evenings and creative drop-ins, there’s something for every kind of reader and writer.

How to participate:

  1. Register online at readbooks.com.au/wwr

  2. Track your reading or submit achievements to unlock prize levels:

    • Level 1: 5 days of reading or 1 review → go in the draw for a book bundle

    • Level 2: 10 days or 3 reviews → go in the draw for a bookish hamper

    • Level 3: 20 days or 6 reviews → go in the draw for Sony headphones
