The annual Summer Read runs from 1 December 2014 to 15 February 2015. Take part and discover some great Victorian books and authors – tell us the name of your favourite book and you could win some fantastic prizes.

Teddy Bears' Picnic


Celebrate the beginning of our Story Time sessions for 2015 with this special Story Time.

Are you ready for an adventure? If so, join this year’s Summer Reading Club: Adventure.
Registrations begin Monday 15 December and end Friday 30 January 2015 at all branches.
What do you do? Join the Club, collect a Summer Reading Club activity pack and read. Earn great prizes, book marks and stickers as you read 10 books during the holidays. Visit your library or our website for more information. Join the Club, don’t miss out!

Zine Workshop

Zine Workshop
Zines are mini magazines sold in underground boutiques all over Melbourne. Join us in the library and use found objects, cut up photos, pieces of text, or your own poetry and prose to create something truly unique. Sad or funny, poignant or quirky – no two zines are the same.

Gay rights advocate, education activist and author Daniel Witthaus is an extraordinary man witha n extraordinary mission to eliminate homophobia in Australia (and change the world, one cuppa at a time).

Join Daniel for a cuppa and chat at the Footscray Library to speak on gay rights and issues, and reflect on his published works, including the very popular 'Beyond Priscilla: one gay man, one gay truck, one big idea'.
