The Reconciliation Film Club supports organisations to host screenings of a curated selection of compelling documentaries from Australia’s leading Indigenous filmmakers. Following on from NAIDOC Week (6-13 July 2025), Footscray Library will screen In My Own Words (2017) a documentary that follows the journey of adult Aboriginal students and their teachers as they discover the transformative power of reading and writing for the first time in their lives. Duration: 65 minutes Reconciliation Australia, NITV and SBS are proud partners of Reconciliation Film Club.
