The FReeZA Music Creators workshops are designed to give young people 16 to 25 years old a chance to come and try out a range of Beats Workshops with Melbourne Sound School. These are small one-off workshops so please register your spot below so you don't miss out!
What we will be doing
In this workshop you'll learn how to apply audio effects to process your vocals in music software Ableton Live.
You don't need any experience with music production or Ableton Live. If you are able to, please bring a laptop with the free trial version of Ableton installed.
If you aren't able to bring a laptop, please bring a USB stick.

- How to use audio effects to process your vocals in Ableton Live
- How to best apply reverb, delay, EQ and other audio effects
- How to use effects for recording and live performance
Meet the Creator
Lupa J burst onto the Australian music scene at age 15, immediately garnering praise from international music blogs such as DIY Magazine and receiving a Triple J Unearthed High nomination for an unprecedented two years running.
After a few years spent solidifying their sound on tour with the likes of Sarah Blasko, Grimes, Tegan & Sara and Alice Glass, they released their bold, self produced debut LP ‘Swallow Me Whole’ in 2019, nominated for FBi Radio’s SMAC Awards for ‘Album of the Year’.
Follow up mini-album ‘To Breathe Underwater’ sealed off a successful 2020 with their first spins on BBC Radio 1.
Last year they performed at Dark Mofo, and released their album 'A New Kind Of Magic.
