Student placements
Maribyrnong Youth Services is committed to developing and maintaining a highly-skilled and professional workforce of Youth Workers. As part of this commitment, we support Youth Work students to complete their fieldwork placements within our service, providing valuable experience and skill development to help them transition into employment.
At Maribyrnong Youth Services, we take on three placement students each year who are:
- Studying their Bachelor, Diploma and/or Certificate IV in Youth Work
- Completing their studies at Victoria University, RMIT, Swinburne, Kangan Institute or Chisolm TAFE
- Have a current Working with Children Check
- We also give preference to those who live in the Maribyrnong municipality

Please note: Filling out this form does not guarantee a student placement position for 2026. Our team will be in touch in November 2025 to confirm next steps in the application process. All placements for 2025 are filled.
